Description:
The moment you step aboard their
yacht you'll know you've found something special. Your captain personally
welcomes you, and the crew greets you with hors d'oeuvres and champagne
as your yacht cruise begins. You have become a pampered guest, one
of the very few, who will leave the crowds behind to journey through
some of the most magnificent destinations in the Americas.
Thei yachts, the Safari Spirit and the Safari Escape, both carrying
just 12 guests, and the Safari Quest, carrying 21, cruise during daylight
hours only, maximizing your opportunities to truly experience the
wildlife, culture, and people found along the way. Their inclusive
cruises feature private shore-excursions, Expedition Leaders who provide
educational lectures and narration in Alaska and gourmet meals each
day.
When you are at anchor in the deep reaches of a glacial fjord in Alaska
or cruising through the Inside Passage, American Safari Cruises will
take you there in luxurious, personal style.
American Safari
Cruises is Recommended for:
American Safari
Cruises is a niche cruise line with luxury yachts. Their Alaska cruises
are recommended for first-time cruisers who want an active, looking
for a luxury intimate vacation.
Onboard Activities:
Lasting Friendships
Because your cruising party
is small, you get to know your fellow travelers, people you'll have
more to talk and laugh about with as the days go by. They're people
like you, curious about new places and able to appreciate roads less
traveled. Hiking or kayaking side by side, you and your shipmates
will form lasting friendships. Our yachts accommodate just 12 or 21
guests, which also makes them perfect for a group of friends or family
to charter.
Expert Guides,
Friendly Captains
You also become familiar with
your crew and staff, whose goal is to make every aspect of your journey
a pleasure and to facilitate your adventures ashore. Most times, you're
welcome to visit the bridge and discuss navigation with the captain.
Throughout your voyage, you're accompanied by a knowledgeable expedition
leader who offers timely narratives about the local history and wildlife,
introduces you to local indigenous peoples, and keeps a lookout for
wildlife. Humpback whales abeam while you're in the lounge? Your guide
will sound the alert!
An Inclusive

Maybe you remember other cruises
where you had to pay extra for tours and your drinks at the ship's
bar. Not with us. With the exception of a gratuity for the crew--which
we believe is a very personal elective--everything is included on
our cruise.

last:

Special Programs:
Traveling With Kids
:
Kids In Nature Program:
Their Kids in
Nature program is offered on select Alaska cruises. It offers kid-size
pricing - 2 kids under 12 for 1 adult fare. This offer applies to
two Mariner staterooms on the 22-guest Safari Quest outfitted with
twin beds and stateroom B-1 on the main deck which has a lower and
upper berth. Total savings with all 3 staterooms booked is over $14,400
for Alaska.
Our Kids in
Nature, or KIN cruises, include a luxury yacht as the schoolhouse,
an Expedition Leader/Naturalist as the teacher, and the wildlife-rich
waters of Alaska's Inside Passage as the laboratory. KIN convenes
during popular winter and spring break weeks for summer vacation in
Alaska. One family chartering the Safari Quest or a mix of families
booking independently can now enjoy adventure travel this spring and
summer in nature's most diverse playgrounds.
Activities abound
for all ages: kayaking, hiking on a remote island followed by a full-scale
picnic, hopping shore-to-shore by zodiac, viewing whales directly
off the bow or dolphins right below, collecting shells to study, riding
mountain bikes and more. With 9 crewmembers to serve no more than
22 guests, kids and adults alike are accompanied on a variety of personal-choice
excursions while the yacht is at anchor in either destination. In
a rare introduction to wilderness lifestyles, kids and the entire
family will meet and interact with residents of Quest-sized island
communities.
At the end of a week
of up-close adventure, the crew of the Safari Quest will present each
family with a photo disc of several hundred images to share and reminisce
for years to come. In addition, each child will receive a Kids in
Nature backpack filled with mementos of their various explorations:
a certificate of achievement award signed by the President of American
Safari Cruises, a marine chart signed by the Captain and Expedition
Leader, a CREW tee shirt and cap, a pair of binoculars, disposable
camera and a typed list of all of the flora and fauna observed during
the cruise. Far from the typical spring or summer vacation getaway,
a yacht cruise provides kids a fun way to learn about nature and other
cultures.
