7 Nights Juneau to Petersburg

Onboard the American Safari Spirit you will cruise from Juneau to Petersburg. This 7 night cruise starts in Juneau and heads to Tenakee Springs. Along the way you will search for the tell tale signs of humpback whales. Tenakee Springs is a remote fishing village, where as we go ashore to meet the people we will experience the Alaska charm. After spending the night anchored in a remote cove you will cruise into the heart of Alaska's Inside Passage. Greet the days with your adventurous side! You'll kayak under sea carved arches back in the hidden inlets, and wander through misty coves. You'll explore the temperate rainforest where bears make their homes, or listen for the clear call of a Pacific loon. Spend your days cruising the waters where humpback whales, Steller's sea lions, orcas and porpoise feed and frolic. The last few days of your cruise will be spent in Glacier Country. You'll step ashore on a massive glacial sandbar where bird life abounds. Your Expedition leader will guide you towards the face of a glacier where you'll get close enough to touch the ice. Cruise slowly in an ice filled fjord. The last stop of your journey amazing journey is Petersburg.
