2009 Escorted Alaska Cruisetour #2

This itinerary starts AFTER the accompanying cruise itinerary.

Upon arrival in Seward, your tour director will greet you at the pier. After a visit to the Alaska SeaLife Center in Seward, a center dedicated to understanding and preserving the marine environment, you'll set off on a resurrection Bay Wildlife Cruise. In the evening, board the Wilderness Express, our glass domed traincars, for a spectacular ride to Alyeska. Sip a cocktail while you gaze out at cascading waterfalls and glaciers. You'll spend the night in luxury at The Hotel Alyeska.

In the morning, you're free to explore Alyeska on your own. Enjoy breathtaking views as you soar 2,300 feet above the valley on the Alyeska Tramway. In the afternoon, you'll board your deluxe motor coach for the short journey to Anchorage where you will enjoy a visit to the Alaska Native Heritage Center to learn about Alaska's first people. Transfer to Talkeetna for an overnight stay at the Talkeetna Alaskan Lodge.

In the morning, you'll board your deluxe motor coach for a relaxing and scenic drive to Denali. You'll have the rest of the day and evening free to explore on your own. Overnight in Denali

In the morning, you'll depart on the Discover Denali Tour, which takes you deep into Denali National Park. Search for Denali's big five: grizzlies, moose, gray whales, caribou, and Dall sheep. The afternoon is yours to explore Denali or choose an optional excursion, such as white water rafting, helicopter flightseeing or the Husky Homestead Tour. Overnight a second evening in Denali.

After breakfast, board your deluxe motor coach and drive to Alaska's Golden Heart, Fairbanks. Here you'll visit the fascinating El Dorado Gold Mine and try your luck at panning for gold. Your evening is free for optional activities, such as a flightseeing tour across the Arctic Circle. Overnight in Fairbanks.

Your Tour Director will see that you are transferred to the Fairbanks airport for your flight home.
