| Day 1: Anchorage | Your Tour Director welcomes you to Anchorage for your first taste of Alaska. | | Day 2: Anchorage to Denali | Watch fabulous scenery unfold from your seat in the spacious domed railcar. Upon arrival, transfer to your lodge for a leisurely afternoon and evening at Denali. | | Day 3: Denali | Begin your day with a Tundra Wilderness Tour, featuring great wildlife viewing and the best lookout points for Mt. McKinley. Later, return to your lodge or experience the wilderness on an optional excursion. | | Day 4: Denali to Fairbanks | Enjoy a morning at leisure followed by luxury sightseeing en route to Fairbanks. Then check into your downtown hotel and enjoy a relaxing night in Alaska's second-largest city. | | Day 5: Fairbanks | Set off on a full day of adventure. Board the sternwheeler Discovery for native culture and local colour. Visit Gold Dredge No.8, a National Historic Site, browse the mining exhibits and pan for gold during an informative tour, with lunch included. Later, relax or take an optional tour to the acclaimed Museum of the North. | | Day 6: Fairbanks to Beaver Creek | The Alaska Highway weaves past remarkable scenery where distant peaks frame endless open valleys. Stop at Rika's Roadhouse, an Alaska State Park along the original wagon road. Lunch is included in Tok. Later we welcome you to remote Beaver Creek, Canada's westernmost settlement, with our famed Yukon Rendezvous Dinner Show (included). | | Day 7: Beaver Creek to Whitehorse | Continue on the Alaska Highway past the St. Elias Mountains and the sparkling waters of scenic Kluane Lake. Enjoy lunch and a natural history presentation near Kluane National Park. Then play with the friendly sled dogs at Uncommon Journeys. Arrive in Whitehorse and overnight in the capital of the Yukon Territory. | | Day 8: Whitehorse | Choose our optional excursion to Kluane, a UNEXCO World Heritage Site, encompassing North America's second-tallest mountain; the world's largest non-polar icefield; and a vast, well-preserved wildlife habitat. |
