| Day 1: Skagway to Whitehorse | Learn about the Klondike Gold Rush during a park ranger presentation. Then, disembark and get Skagway sightseeing tips from your Tour Director. Later, board nostalgic gold rush railcars for dramatic scenery through the White Pass, an integral part of the historic Klondike Trail. Continue via Explorer Coach into Canada's wild Yukon Territory. Check into your downtown Whitehorse hotel. | | Day 2: Whitehorse to Beaver Creek | Start your day with a visit to Uncommon Journeys and tour the kennel, meet the dogs and attend a summer sled dog demonstration. Trip highlights also include a natural history presentation in Haines Junction, lunch included, and scenic highway travel past the lakes and mountains of Kluane National Park. In Beaver Creek, Canada's westernmost settlement, you'll catch the Yukon spirit at our famed Yukon Rendezvous Dinner Show (included), a festive way to learn about local history and culture. | | Day 3: Beaver Creek to Fairbanks | Get as far from civilization as most ever get - a delight for true nature lovers. Take in amazing sights from the magnificent Tetlin Wildlife Refuge and the dramatic Wrangell Mountains to the famed Alaska Pipeline. Stop for lunch in Tok and, later, homemade pie at Rika's Roadhouse. Frontier flavour also abounds in Fairbanks during your memorable two-night stay. | | Day 4: Fairbanks | We have a full day planned. Start by boarding the sternwheeler Discovery for native culture and local color. Visit Gold Dredge No.8, a National Historic Site, browse the mining exhibits and pan for gold during an informative tour, with lunch included. Later, relax or take an optional tour to the acclaimed Museum of the North. | | Day 5: Fairbanks to Denali | Soak up panoramic scenery through huge domed windows and enjoy leisurely dining. Later, embark on a 5-hour official Denali Natural History Tour. Travel through moose habitat to Primrose Ridge. Tonight, opt for dinner in the lodge or at the dinner theatre. | | Day 6: Denali to Anchorage | After a morning at leisure reboard the train and sightsee to Alaska's largest city.
