| Day 1: Skagway to Whitehorse | Disembark and meet a Klondike National Park ranger and your Tour Director. Then board the vintage parlor cars of the White Pass & Yukon Route Railroad, climbing through rugged terrain. Explorer travel via luxury coach into Canada's Yukon Territory. Overnight in Whitehorse, the Yukon capital. | | Day 2: Whitehorse and Kluane | Choose an optional excursion to this UNESCO World Heritage Site, encompassing the second tallest mountain in North America - Mt. Logan- and numerous other titanic peaks. | | Day 3: Beaver Creek | Start with Uncommon Journeys and a natural history presentation near Kluane National Park. Then you're off along the Alaska Highway past the peaks of the St.Elias Mountains and the sparkling waters of scenic Kluane Lake (lunch included). We welcome you to remote Beaver Creek, Canada's westernmost settlement, with our fames Yukon Rendezvous Dinner Show (included). | | Day 4: Fairbanks | Scenes of the Tetlin Wildlife Refuge blend with the distant peaks of the Wrangell Mountains. Lunch is included in Tok. A pause at the famed Rika's Roadhouse along the original wagon road echos the past. | | Day 5: Fairbanks | We have a full day planned. Start by boarding the sternwheeler Discovery for native culture and local color. At Gold Dredge No. 8, a National Historic Site, browse the mining exhibits and pan for gold during an informative tour, with lunch included. Then visit the Museum of the North for a presentation and the exhibits. | | Day 6: Denali | The largest domed railcars on the historic Alaska Railroad route invite you to sit back and enjoy this Alaska Scenic Byway. Upon arrival at Denali transfer to your inviting lodge. After settling in to your room, get out and explore. | | Day 7: Denali National Park | Enjoy a Tundra Wilderness Tour with your driver to guide and travel 53 miles of the Park Road. Watch for caribou, moose, grizzlies, wolves, and Dall sheep plus dramatic lookout points for Mt. McKinley. Later relax at your lodge, hike, river raft or flightsee. | | Day 8: Anchorage | After a morning at leisure reboard your luxury railcar for the scenic trip to Anchorage. Transfer to your downtown hotel and say goodbye to your Tour Director. | | Day 9: Anchorage | Tour ends this morning in Anchorage. |
