This itinerary starts AFTER the accompanying cruise itinerary.
Day 1: Seward / Anchorage
Upon arrival in Seward you'll board a deluxe motorcoach and enjoy a scenic drive to Anchorage. Once in Anchorage, you'll have time for lunch on your own before visiting the Alaska Native Heritage Center to learn about the cultures indigenous to Alaska. Spend the evening as you desire before retiring to your accommodations at the Anchorage hotel.
Day 2: Anchorage / Talkeetna
In the morning, you'll set off on an exciting ride aboard the Wilderness Express, a glass-domed rail car, to Talkeetna. You'll have the rest of the afternoon to explore Talkeetna as you desire. Unleash your inner adventurer with a zip-lining excursion, float trip, or flightseeing tour of Mt. McKinley. Later, you'll head to Talkeetna for an overnight stay.
Day 3: Talkeetna / Denali
Explore the nature trails that surround the lodge in the morning before boarding the Wilderness Express to Denali. After, you'll have the rest of the evening to relax or enjoy an array of optional excursions before retiring for a restful night in Denali.
Day 4: Denali
In the morning you'll venture deep into the impressive Denali National Park to embark on the Tundra Wilderness Tour. Explore the area's lush landscapes while searching for Alaska's "big five" - caribou, moose, bear, grey wolves, and Dall sheep. The remainder of the afternoon and evening are yours to enjoy at leisure. A second overnight stay in Denali awaits.
Day 5: Denali / Fairbanks
Spend your morning exploring Denali on your own, or book an optional land excursion, such as the Husky Homestead Tour or white-water rafting. In the afternoon you'll board the Wilderness Express for a scenic journey to "Alaska's Golden Heart," the historic city of Fairbanks, enjoying a delicious made-to-order dinner onboard along the way (not included). Spend a peaceful night at your accommodations in Fairbanks.
Day 6: Fairbanks
After breakfast, you'll explore an array of natural sights and historic landmarks on the Fairbanks City Tour and take in the city's beautiful landscapes while cruising down the Chena River on the Riverboat Discovery sternwheeler. You'll also visit the Museum of the North, situated on the campus of the University of Alaska Fairbanks.
