Detailed Itinerary
This land tour needs to be accompanied by one of the following cruise itineraries
This itinerary starts AFTER the accompanying cruise itinerary.
Day 1: Seward
Upon arrival in Seward, your Adventure Specialist will greet you at the pier. Begin your day with a moderate hike to the base of the most accessible glacier in Resurrection Bay - Exit Glacier. The remainder of your day is free for optional activities such as a visit to the Alaska Sealife Center or a cruise out to Kenai Fjords National Park. Overnight in Seward.
Day 2: Seward / Anchorage / Talkeetna
Head north from Seward towards the Alaskan interior where a unique adventure awaits amongst the breathtaking scenery of Eklutna Lake. Don a helmet and set out on bike ride around the lake, following your guide or pedaling at your own pace. Then trade your bike for a kayak and paddle your way back through turquoise waters, enjoying a picnic lunch along the way. After your bike and kayak adventure, arrive at the authentic Alaskan town of Talkeetna. The evening is yours to relax in the comforts of the Talkeetna hotel.
Day 3: Talkeetna / Denali
After breakfast, travel by motorcoach to Denali National Park. Upon arrival, board a bus and venture deep into the heart of Denali on a 92 mile journey to the remote former mining camp of Kantishna. Pass through dramatic Alaskan territory that few visitors to Denali ever get to see. Your naturalist-trained driver will tell you about the flora and fauna of Denali National Park while you keep a sharp eye out for moose, bears, sheep and a possible glimpse of the tallest mountain in North America - Mt. Denali. Overnight in Denali.
Day 4: Denali
Enjoy a full day in Kantishna, at your leisure to seek out activities such as hiking, mountain biking or fishing. Or just relax and admire the serene setting with family and friends. Enjoy another night at a Kantishna lodge. Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner Included.
Day 5: Denali / Fairbanks
Leaving Kantishna behind and heading out of Denali National Park offers another opportunity to observe the wildlife in this beautiful Alaskan forest. Back at the park entrance, you'll have time to explore the National Park Visitors Center before boarding a Wilderness Express glass dome railcar for a scenic ride to Fairbanks. Overnight in a comfortable Fairbanks hotel.
Day 6: Fairbanks
After an incredible experience in "The Last Frontier," your Adventure Specialist will see that you are transferred to the Fairbanks airport for your flight home.
