Day 1: Anchorage | Upon arrival in Anchorage, you'll transfer to you Anchorage hotel and meet your Adventure Specialist. Enjoy a relaxing stay at the Anchorage Downtown Marriott. | Day 2: Anchorage | Depart Anchorage aboard a small plane for a scenic two-to-three hour flightseeing ride to Katmai National Park to take part in one of the most sought after National Park experiences. Accessible only by air, Katmai National Park is home to the largest population of Alaska brown bears and is world famous for Alaska brown bear viewing . This full day adventure lets you watch Alaska brown bears in their natural habitat, along Brooks River, where elevated boardwalks offer close, unobstructed and extraordinary views. Return to Anchorage by small plane, watching for beluga whales, moose and Dall sheep below. Overnight in Anchorage. *Flights between Anchorage and Katmai National Park are subject to weather conditions. If a flight must be cancelled, alternate touring options will be provided. Please note flowplanes on this Cruisetour are not wheelchair accessible. | Day 3: Anchorage / Denali | After breakfast, travel by deluxe motorcoach to Denali National Park. Enjoy a leisurely evening relaxing in your hotel, or seek out optional activities like whitewater rafting or a visit to a dog musher's kennel. Overnight in Denali. | Day 4: Denali | Join a trained naturalist for a full day exploring the entire 92-miles of restricted Denali Park Road by bus, to the remote former mining camp of Kantishna. Pass through dramatic Alaskan territory that few visitors to Denali ever get to see. Your naturalist-trained driver will tell you about the flora and fauna of Denali National Park while you keep a sharp eye out for moose, bears, sheep and a possible glimpse of the tallest mountain in North America - Mt. Denali. Afterwards, enjoy free time at Kantishna taking advantage of opportunities for hiking, biking, dog mushing demos, or just relax and enjoy the serene setting. Return trip from Kantishna will be by air. Enjoy a 55-minute scenic fly-by, which follows the spine of the magnificent Alaska Range, traverses the expansive Muldrow Glacier and passes the stunning north face of Mt. Denali. Overnight in Denali. *Return flight to Denali Park entrance is subject to weather conditions. If your flight must be cancelled, alternate transportation will be provided. Please note flowplanes on this Cruisetour are not wheelchair accessible. | Day 5: Denali / Talkeetna | Enjoy a leisurely morning relaxing in your hotel, or seek out optional activities like whitewater rafting or a visit to a dog musher's kennel. In the afternoon, board the glass domed Wilderness Express rail cars for a scenic journey to the authentic town of Talkeetna. Overnight at the Talkeetna. | Day 6: Talkeetna / Seward | Your morning begins with a visit to the Alaska Native Heritage Center, where you'll learn about the various native cultures that call Alaska home. Break for lunch in downtown Anchorage before continuing your journey south to the harbor town of Seward, where you'll board the Radiance of the Seas to begin your cruise adventure. |
