Day 1: Fairbanks
Upon your arrival in Fairbanks, you will transfer to your Fairbanks hotel and be greeted by your Tour Director. Enjoy a relaxing overnight stay in Fairbanks.
Day 2: Fairbanks
After breakfast, you'll enjoy a fun-filled day in Fairbanks, including a Fairbanks City Tour and a cruise down the Chena River on the Riverboat Discovery Sternwheeler. You will also visit the Museum of the North situated on the campus of the University of Alaska Fairbanks. Here you will find a large collection of Alaskan artwork and historical exhibits. Spend a second night in Fairbanks.
Day 3: Fairbanks to Denali
In the morning, enjoy a cup of cappuccino and some amazing views as you travel on the Wilderness Express, our glass-domed traincars, to Denali. Upon arrival, you'll have free time to book an optional land excursion or relax. Be sure to consult with your Tour Director on the many options available such as the Husky Homestead Tour or Cabin Nite Dinner Theater. Overnight in Denali.
Day 4: Denali
In the morning, head out on the Tundra Wilderness Tour deep into Denali National Park. Look for Alaska's big five: caribou, moose, bear, grey wolves and Dall sheep. The afternoon is open to participate in an optional activity such as white-water rafting or helicopter flightseeing. Overnight a second night in Denali.
Day 5: Denali to Talkeetna
Your morning is open to book an optional land excursion, such as Nenana River Rafting. In the afternoon, sit back and relax onboard the Wilderness Express on a scenic journey to Talkeetna. Then enjoy a relaxing evening in front of the fireplace at the Talkeetna Alaskan Lodge. Overnight at the Talkeetna Alaskan Lodge.
Day 6: Talkeetna to Anchorage
Your day is open for exploration or participating in optional activities, such as a float trip on the Talkeetna River. Late in the afternoon, take in the amazing scenery from the Wilderness Express on your way to Anchorage, Alaska's largest city. Stay overnight at the Anchorage Downtown Marriott.
Day 7: Anchorage to Seward
As you depart Anchorage in the morning you'll make a visit to the Alaska Native Heritage Center to learn about the various Native cultures that call Alaska home. Your journey continues south to the harbor town of Seward where you will board the Radiance of the Seas for your Alaska cruise adventure.
Day 8: Vancouver
(After your cruise) In the morning you will disembark the ship and begin your Canadian Rockies adventure a City Tour of Vancouver including views of Lion's Gate Bridge, historic Gastown, Stanley Park, Granville Island and much more. Upon conclusion of the tour you'll be taken to the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver in the heart of the city center. The remainder of the afternoon and evening is at your leisure to enjoy independent sightseeing, shopping and dining. In addition admission to the Lookout Tower and Harbour Centre is included. Overnight at the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver.
Day 9: Vancouver to Victoria
Today's adventure will take you to Victoria, the capital city of British Columbia. The morning begins with a transfer through the Fraser River delta, to Tsawwassen, to board a BC Ferry for your journey through the Gulf islands to Vancouver Island. Upon arrival at the ferry terminal you will then travel to the world-renowned Butchart Gardens. Meander through this botanical showcase famous for its colourful and authentic series of formal gardens. Your sightseeing tour of Victoria continues and includes the University of Victoria, Royal Victorian Yacht Club, Beacon Hill Park and the attractions of the Inner Harbour. Enjoy free time to explore Victoria independently before returning to Vancouver, where you will spend a second night at the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver.
Day 10: Vancouver to Jasper
Enjoy a relaxing morning, taking in the local sights as you explore Vancouver on your own. The excitement continues in the evening as you transfer to Vancouver's Pacific Central Station and board VIA Rail's Canadian for your journey through the Rockies eastward to Jasper. Experience luxury on rails as you relax for the evening in your private cabin as you take in the scenery along the way. Overnight onboard VIA Rail's Canadian in Sleeper Plus Class.
Day 11: Jasper
Begin your morning with a delightful breakfast in the dining car as you pass between the Monashee and Cariboo mountain ranges. Meander to the domed car where views of Mt. Robson and Caribou Falls are majestic. Lunch will be served in the dining car prior to arrival in Jasper where you will have the remainder of the afternoon and evening free for sightseeing and dining. Overnight at the Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge. Breakfast and lunch are included.
Day 12: Jasper to Banff
Today's journey travels along the Icefields Parkway through Jasper and Banff National Parks. A stop will be made at the Columbia Icefield where you will travel onto the icy slopes of the Athabasca Glacier in a specially designed Ice Explorer. Before arriving into Banff time will be spent at the Columbia Icefield Center where you will enjoy a buffet lunch and a visit to the new Parks Canada Interpretive Center. Relax at the Fairmont Banff Springs or enjoy a stroll through the quaint Bavarian like town enjoy the remainder of your afternoon and evening. Overnight at the Fairmont Banff Springs. Lunch included.
Day 13: Banff to Calgary
Following a leisurely morning you will board a motorcoach for a tour of Banff National Park. Highlights in Banff include a trip to the top of Sulphur Mountain on the Banff Gondola. Views of Bow Falls, Surprise Corner and the Hoodoos will entertain your senses as you travel to Calgary. Upon arrival in Calgary you will have the rest of the day is free for sightseeing in the Stampede City. Admission to the Calgary Tower with views of the city and the majestic Rocky Mountains is included. Overnight in Calgary at the Fairmont Palliser.
