By boat, bus and train, explore the northern frontier from the big cities of Anchorage and Fairbanks, to the very depths of the great Denali Park. This is an all-encompassing tour for guests to see many of the hi-lights, the land, the wildlife, the people, of this great state.

This itinerary starts AFTER the accompanying cruise itinerary.
Day 1: Anchorage
After disembarking your cruise ship, you will meet your tour director and begin your drive to Anchorage. The road linking Seward and Anchorage passes through some of the most spectacular scenery in the country and holds triple designation: USDA Forest Service Scenic Byway, Alaska Scenic Byway, and All-American Road. Check-in at the Hilton Hotel. The rest of the day and evening are at your leisure. Overnight at the Hilton Hotel, Anchorage.
Day 2: Anchorage to Denali
After an early morning transfer to the train station in Anchorage, enjoy breakfast on-board the world famous Alaska Railroad as you travel from Anchorage to Talkeetna. Visit the quaint town of Talkeetna, filled with Alaska history and local charm, and have lunch before traveling by motor coach to the Grande Denali Hotel, located in Denali National Park. Tonight, join a guest lecturer for a talk about the uniqueness of Denali before having dinner at the hotel. Overnight at the Grande Denali Hotel, Denali Park.
Day 3: Denali
After a very early breakfast at the hotel, travel leisurely deep into Denali National Park on the seven-hour Tundra Wildlife Tour in search for wildlife. The tour is operated by the Denali National Park in assigned school buses. The trip is fully narrated and makes frequent stops for photos and restroom breaks. A snack box lunch is included on the bus. Keep your eyes open for moose, sheep, caribou or grizzly bear. The afternoon and evening are at your leisure for optional activities and tours. Overnight at the Grande Denali Hotel, Denali Park.
Day 4: Denali to Fairbanks
After breakfast at the hotel, begin your motor coach transfer to Fairbanks. Upon arrival in Fairbanks you will board a chartered stern wheeler boat to enjoy a cruise on the Chena River. After your cruise, lunch is scheduled at a local historical restaurant in Fairbanks. This afternoon, enjoy a city tour with a visit to the University of Alaska-Fairbanks Museum before arriving at the Pikes Waterfront Lodge. Tonight enjoy dinner at the lodge. Overnight at the Pikes Waterfront Lodge, Fairbanks.
Day 5: Fairbanks
After breakfast at the hotel, transfer to the Fairbanks airport for your flight home.
