A Concierge Wine Experience

This itinerary starts BEFORE the accompanying cruise itinerary.

Upon arrival at the San Francisco airport, you will be met outside the security area and transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day is at your leisure to explore the wonderful city by the bay. Overnight at the Fairmont, San Francisco.

After breakfast at the hotel, you will be met by your driver and travel across the Golden Gate Bridge on your way to the Napa Valley. You will arrive in the Napa Valley around noon. Toast your arrival with a complimentary glass of sparkling wine on the beautiful terrace of Domaine Carneros Winery. Then drive to the Bouchaine Winery where a festive alfresco luncheon on the deck or in the garden is reserved for you. Your luncheon will be waiting for you and includes a bottle of wine, which you can choose after you taste their selections. A member of the DuPont family owns the winery. After your lunch, you will enjoy a tour and tasting in the caves at Frazier Winery in the Coombsville area of east Napa. In the late afternoon, check in to your lovely room awaiting you at the Vintage Inn in Yountville. Tonight, you will dine at one of the current popular restaurants in Napa. Overnight at the Vintage Inn, Yountville.

After your champagne buffet breakfast at your hotel, you will be met by your driver in time to transfer to the Swanson Winery in Rutherford. Join a very small group to enjoy the Harvey wine tasting in the beautiful Salon. After this 90-minute wine and food pairing experience, you will be taken to the beautiful and very private Kelham Winery. Here, you have reservations for a lovely lunch, including wine tasting, which can be enjoyed on the sunny patio or before the fireplace inside if it is a cool day. Mid-afternoon, you are part of a private wine tasting of outstanding Cabernet Sauvignon (the wine, which made Napa famous!) at Cardinale Estate in Oakville with the winemaker himself. You will be served the current releases plus one older vintage, all of which will be paired with artisan cheeses. At the conclusion of the Cardinale tasting, you will be returned to the Vintage Inn. You may wish to relax in your room or enjoy a spa treatment at their sister property. Dinner this evening will be on your own. Overnight at the Vintage Inn, Yountville.

After a delicious California Champagne breakfast at the Inn, you will be met by your driver for the ride back to San Francisco. Once again crossing the Golden Gate Bridge, you will have excellent views of the city if the famous fog permits. Arrive at your cruise ship in the early afternoon.
