Day 1: Anchorage |
Arrive in Anchorage and get settled in your hotel for an overnight stay. You might enjoy getting out to see the shops, restaurants and cultural attractions of this surprisingly metropolitan city. |
Day 2: Anchorage / Copper River |
This morning, board your motorcoach and settle in for a scenic drive to the Copper River Princess Wilderness Lodge. The lodge welcomes you with incredible views of Mt. Drum, Mt. Wrangell and Mt. Blackburn. End your day with a relaxing dinner at the Two Rivers Restaurant. (B, D). |
Day 3: Copper River |
Enjoy a full day of leisure. Choose from many optional excursions that let you explore America's largest National Park - Wrangell-St. Elias. Dinner is included at the Two Rivers Restaurant. (B, D) |
Day 4: Copper River / Fairbanks |
Continue your journey by motorcoach to Fairbanks, Alaska's "Golden Heart" city. Enjoy your evening at leisure. Overnight at the Fairbanks Princess Riverside Lodge. (B, D) |
Day 5: Fairbanks |
A full day in Fairbanks gives you time to get a feel for the unique culture and history of the region. You'll take a cruise on an authentic Sternwheeler Riverboat down the Chena River then enjoy a Gold Dredge 8 tour with the chance to pan for your own gold. A hearty miner's lunch is included. The evening is at leisure. (B, L, D) |
Day 6: Fairbanks / Denali |
This morning, you say goodbye to Fairbanks for the spectacular trip to Denali National Park via motorcoach. You'll be welcomed at the Denali Princess Wilderness Lodge for a 1-night retreat. Explore Denali National Park on a Tundra Wilderness Tour, watching for glimpses of Denali as well as moose, caribou and Dall sheep. Enjoy dinner at the King Salmon Restaurant this evening. (B, D) |
Day 7: Denali / Mt. McKinley |
A scenic drive between our two lodges culminates in incredible views of Denali, and with your arrival at the Mt. McKinley Princess Wilderness Lodge, a relaxing haven in one of the most dazzling settings imaginable. Dinner is included at the Mountain View Restaurant this evening. (B, D) |
Day 8: Mt. McKinley / Whittier |
After a morning enjoying the vistas, you'll transfer to the historic town of Talkeetna to board the exclusive Direct-to-the-Wilderness Rail for the journey to Whittier and your waiting ship. (B, L) |
